1 girl, 10 obsessions

 Dear Universe,

To be honest, getting busy is never the issue of being a bipolar — it's when things go quite, calm and serene. It feels like the thoughts inside of my head are screaming out loud, that I can hear them more than my own heart beat. And when everyone is asleep, I'm up — thinking — what is the feeling of getting a goodnight's sleep. To be soundly asleep while everyone rests.

And tonight, is not an exception. Yrren just fallen asleep, so with our dogs, so here I am talking to my space again.

1. Books.

(Location: (from left to right) (1st) Fullybooked, Megamall (2nd) NBS, Gateway (3rd & 4th) JRU Main Library)

I love to read, favorite genre — vampire, royalties fiction and a little bit of non-fiction, a bittersweet ending kind of novels. I'm currently reading Melissa Kantor's Maybe One Day, and probably will read if I can't fall asleep.

2. Psychology

My ultimate fascination ever since I stepped into college. Way back 2012, BS Information Systems, in City College of Calapan, I get hooked reading a psychological book discussing the id, ego and superego — and that moment, I know I'm meant for this.

3. Summer

(credits to pinterest)

I longed to experience winter and autumn leaves, but there is something about summerthat I just can't let go; the perkiness of every people, ice cones everywhere, the amazing sunsets, pool days and vacations. Basically, it's like Christmas, less the snows and the cold.

4. Beaches

(Location: (from left to right) (1st) Dulangan Beach, Pto. Galera (2nd) Amami Beach Resort, Pto. Galera (3rd) White Beach, Pto. Galera (4th) Caromoan Islands, CamSur)

On or off season, beaches heal me. The waves are soothing, the sand is refreshing, the breeze is so calming, that I wanted to have a own place with a beach front. I may not have the best body for this season, but my soul — will always up for some island adventure. (Please less the creepy and scary part) Imagine, conquering the water world with kayaking, snorkling and different water activities which will make you the tirest people ever lived!

5. Meal, coffees and everything —

I'm diabetic, but sure I am I love to eat. My favorite is actually Mcdonalds, like, the cheeseburger and an Ala Carte spaghetti and a big coke. I also love getting heavy meals — rice and a dish, and again, a big coke. Every meal is special with a family, especially when it is when Yrren.

Coffee and sweets, is like — my go-to stuff, too. I don't have anything particular in a coffee shop, but CBTL and Pickup non-chocolate drinks are the best!

6. Scented Candles

(Left to the right: Mr. DIY Citronella Candle, Candle Lab MNL scented small candles, Shopee scented candles, Candle Lab Mnl ghost candles)

My newest obsession! It all started when I am reviewing for the licensure for psychometricians. I don't know that it will get this personal. I'm loving the jasmine, sandalwood kind, strawberry and rose are fine, and the least that I like, citrus kind of smell.

Shopee has a veru cheap prizes for a small circle candles, but Candle Lab Mnl, is so far the only brand of candle that I know.

7. Perfumes

(Clockwise: Sweet Night Almond & Vanilla, Pure Cloud, Body Fantasy Japanese Cherry Blossom, The Perfume Refilling Station Love Spell, TAD Angel Satin, Penshoppe Two Four Scent)

Not really a perfume kind of girl, but when you smell nice, you feel like you can conquer anything. It is also a sign of good hygiene and for someone with a mental disorder, I always try to keep up with my hygiene, and having the best perfume that can smell from miles, ugh. That's heaven!

8. Lingerieeeee

(Left to right (Top): Hemera by Nightlust Co, Feyre by Nightlust Co (Bottom): Shopee brand, Diana by Nightlust Co)

This. This! THIS! I feel so empowered and confident in my own skin and self. It feels like so divine that despite having a big body now, I can still pull it off, get these curves to show. Well, wearing revealing clothes in the PH is really controversial, and we all have different social rules, that so many, that everyone gets so confused but if this is happiness and self-fulfillment — who we are to judge?

9. Clotheeeeeeeeeessssss!

(Left to Right: Edwin Uy Couture, A2E Apparel)

Not my typical kimd of getup, but transitioning to timeless, elegant and classy fashion, I'm starting to realize that this vibe, is my persona. Old money, sophisticated grace, polished and sculptured look, these are all what a well-mannered lady is like.

10. Having all the best thing in life — HAPPINESS!

For the longest time, I've learned that success doesn't need to be grand. Most of the times, these are the simple things. But it is not really having what you wanted or doing what you love, it is the feeling, that kind of dopamine that you feel after — very rewarding and satisfying, and that, that feeling of fulfillment what drives us from doing and wanting things in life. :)

Zoey
