Dear Universe,
The hype of passing the licensure exam has subsided and it gets a little draining. Probably because I've been studying for a year and now that everything has been over, I feel kind of relieved. So, to make it up to my hardships and difficulties, here's what I've been doing to fill my cup ♡
1. Sitting and feeling cozy to my own space.
I really love being in my own space. During my review, I take my time and full effort to actually fund my own aesthetic spot at home which is very consoling because it helped me to actually appreciate my own self. Not really the kind of aesthetic with expensive things, but each pieces remind me of how much effort I put in to have it on my place.
2. Skies, beaches and moon.
Have you seen the moon last time? It is so beautiful, isn't it?
It has been rainy lately and the skies are not on its best, but isn't it something to look forward to?
Beaches always soothe one's soul. It changes its currents, tides and courses, but it will always the same sea, right?
These three help me stay grounded and humble. They are changing continuously, but still the same. It reminds me to let the flow of things as it is and it will gets better after it passed.
3. Foods, sweets and drinks.
Nothing beats a go food that resonates in the soul. Small sweet treats like gummies, candies and mini chocolate bars are also the best, but having Mcdonald's meal, iced coffees and samgyupsals or hotpots are really the best!
I stayed with my father's side and they have a lot pet dogs at home, but this is really the first time that I actually got a pet for my own. I have a hamster, a hedgehog and a dog — we technically have two dogs, but of them is Yrren's.
It feels nice to have a pet. It helps me more responsible with my duty for their welfare, it helps me find purpose to be a good caregiver for them.
5. Being with a friend.
Sometimes, life gets really messed up, chaotic and so problematic that seeing a friend just resolves it all. I always have this thing, that most of the time, I crave human interaction and it is just so satisfying that someone is there to help you figure out things, decide with you and be there with you — whether it is a success or a lesson, your do or die.
6. SHOPPING!
I always like buying things. Actually, to be honest, it doesn't need to be grand or expensive. The way that I have to buy something is really a priviledge for me, and something, I will be grateful for the people who help me with my impulsive buying during manic episodes.
7. Creativity and being in a front of a camera.
I started my creative journey from writing literary pieces for a campus journal, then shifted to a local book publications, have few movie and audio adaptations, shifted to visual creations like modeling, blogging and content creation. Being in the front of the camera is an ecstasy for me, and doing it as a career is more of a self-satisfaction for me. I may not always be the best, I may not have the most number of likes and engagements, not having the big number of followers, this will always be me and my creations are my selves.
8. Flowers and trinkets.
Receiving flowers are so like, princess treatment. It is a top tier for me. It shows a lot of emotions — gratitude, hope, forgiveness, rebirth and appreciation. I feel like they truly value my existence and that, I am seen that — I matter.
9. Books, books and BOOKS!
I've done a lot of readings the whole year and it is so reliving. Books taught me emotions that I can't put a name on it, it taught me that beautiful places exists not in the physical world but in the mind of a person. Though, thoughts can be very scary, at times, but reading is very powerful. It has been my comfort, growing up. It just makes me sleepy, at times, but I miss being a book nerd and I'm trying to go back to my old habits growing up.
Simple things that always make me a kid again. Thank you for reading!
Love,
Zoey ♡
