Hello Universe!
I'd been out for a while and been busy with life and work, but now, I really made time to show up and share my first manic haul this month.
First month of the year was always the most challenging for me. As I transitioned to elegant styling, I had to fix my wardrobe, replaced everything that no longer serve me a purpose. I had to let go a few baby doll dresses too.
But this month, perfume and makeup were just some of the few things I need to accomplish. Internship was coming around the corner and I had to be on my best presentable self. I couldn't be smelling like a dog around them, HAHAHAHAHAHA.
So I bought quite a bunch of a few items, one on each thing that I wanted. I actually disposed the makeups I had longer from their shelf lives. And few items were really satisfying.
Since I was moving to intentional luxury, self-investment was a top tier, and spending this much, was I guess, justifiable.
With no further a due, here's my manic haul in a category! ♡
1. Makeups:
- GRWM Cosmetics Setting Powder ( Brioche )
- Dazzle Me Cushion Fondation ( W04 )
The shade W04, French Beige shade was quite intriguing. It is just a little off, like too tan on my face, but the setting powder was perfect. It suited perfectly with the foundation. The creaminess of the foundation and the finest of the powder blended together making it a matte finish.
- Dior Addict Lip Gloss ( Coral )
- Rare Beauty Lip Gloss ( Hope )
- Prada Monochrome Soft Matte ( B101 )
These three were so pricey that I didn't want to use them. It felt like it deserve a certain spot on my collection cabinet, but it also felt like a waste not to use it, right? :)
- Squad Cosmetics squadlet eyeshadow palette
I hadn't removed the seal yet. I still had another eyeshadow palette which I am using, though the colors of that were too autumn, it still blended well and I thought, this one would be a perfect fit for the summer, too.
2. Skincare:
- The Ordinary Salicylic Acid Serum
- Garnier Bright Complete Vitamin C 30x Brightening Serum
- Garnier Bright Complete Vitamin C Water Gel ( Moisturizer )
Bought these two from Shopee, and they were kinda affordable. Not really bad for someone with a tight budget but didn't want to compromise. I used the Garnier Serum a long time ago and I really loved the results. I'd been using the Garnier Water Gel since October last year and the result, too, was very promising.
The Ordinary was out of a curiosity. I just wanted to try something new, and this new skincare serum was on my top list. I was into caffeinated and sugary beverages a lot, stressed too much and sleeping late, always out late at night, so my skin was really prone to acnes. Sensitivity + acne really gave me blemishes so I substituted the Garnier serum with this once in a while.
3. Fragrance:
- Victoria's Secret Bombshell New York
- Penshoppe Vanilla Dew
- Maison Francis Kurkdijan Paris
Baccarat Rouge 540
Fragrances were my latest collection this time. I believed, I'm having a phase, HAHAHAHAHAHA. But anyway, VS Bombshell New York was bought in a boutique, not really from the physical store, and it smelled so great. Sweet but clean. Vanilla Dew from Penshoppe was really cute, but didn't use it that much. Bought it from a 7/11 store, which is convenient for my subtle manic episodes. MFK Paris was a lot, actually. It cost me an arm and a leg, but I really understood the hype now. Bought it from a mall pull-out online store, but they have a physical store in Power Plant Mall. It was less expensive since not from the physical outlet store, but I went a little off from the budget here.
4. Wallets:
- Chanel Lambskin Quilt Trifold Wallet
- Chanel Lambskin Pouch (?)
- Charles and Keith Cleo Quilt Wallet Card
- Tory Burch Year of the Ox Wallet
Sadly, the Chanels were all topgrade. For the price that I got it, I was sure, not really close to the real ones. The quality was nice, though. The stiches were great, well-aligned and the clutch was strongly built to the wallet. For picture purposes, it was actually not bad. But I was aiming for an original one.
Charles and Keith came overseas. Burgundy was totally in last time, and I thought it was kinda sexy this time, so that's the color that I picked. It quite pricey, but I believed it was justifiable.
Tory Burch Year of the Ox wallet was bought from Lazada. Lazada guarantees money back for fake items so I was affirmative that this was, if top grade was nicely done, if an original, this was a great use. The leather was smooth and soft, not buldgy even with coins inside. Something that I could wear seamlessly in a back pockets of a denim jeans.
These were my recent haul for this month. It was just January and I believed, and a hopefully note, that I wouldn't spend this much again this February.
I work to live, and as a moved to intentional luxury, I believe these were more of an investment rather an expense, and the ROI would be more confidence to conquer the world. When you feel good with yourself, eventually the way you move, the reactions you created and the circle you nurtured, things would be peaceful and worth-living.
Much love,
Zoey ♡
